Exam Prep Aids

The library has several resources to assist with exam preparation.  Selected vod/podcasts of some of Professor Hoch’s ACE series as well as selected doctrinal and skills classes can be found on the library’s web page under Services for Students.    Some professors also place old exams in the library’s catalog.    Allison Jones drafted a brief instruction sheet to help you search for those old exams.  Other schools have also made selected older exams available.  Harvard Law School placed its archived exams from 1871 through 1998 online.  The University of Dayton Law School placed its old exams online too.  Materials are available to help you study specific subject areas.  There are also resources that describe study strategies and suggest methods to help you perform well on law school exams.  To search for study aids in a particular subject area, do a word search in the catalog, using study as your search term.  Choose Study Aids for the collection.  Your search will retrieve 494 titles that can help you locate titles to assist with studying for Torts, Evidence, Contracts, Professional Responsbility, and other subjects.  Titles, such as Law School Exams:  A Guide to Better Grades by Alex Schimel, are available to help you plan study strategies and improve exam taking skills.  Stop by the library and check out some of these materials!
