6th Annual National Moot Court Competition Sponsored by the Charleston School of Law

69643_10151363912280983_95325377_n The Charleston School of Law’s Moot Court Board held its sixth annual National Moot Court Competition this past weekend.  The problem focused on two issues:  “whether a state can collect, maintain and use DNA samples the way it does with fingerprints; and whether a state could abolish the so-called ‘insanity defense?’”  Fourteen teams from ten law schools competed.  Nina Cano and Alexandra Amador from the Florida Coastal School of Law were named competition champions.  Congratulations to Moot Court Board members and advisor Professor Miller Shealy for planning and hosting an excellent competition!
