South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission v Loftis

Commission sought a writ of mandamus ordering Loftis to release funds to fund a certain investment. After the filings were complete, Loftis released the funds. The Court ruled that because Loftis had done what Commission sought in its action, the case was moot. It therefore dismissed the case.
