June 19, 2013 South Carolina Court of Appeals published opinion

Hamilton v Martin Color-Fi, Inc.

Hamilton hurt her hand on the job. Martin stopped her temporary permanent benefits and this was upheld by the workers compensation commission. The panel affirmed. It held that the commission properly found that Hamilton reached maximum medical improvement as all the physicians testified she had reached it. The panel also held that commission’s decision to give more weight to specialists, find there was no need for further medical procedures, that Hamilton was not credible and that Hamilton has a 10% permanent disability were all supported by substantial evidence in the record.
