81%20Mary%20-%20bldg%20only  Extended hours for the Sol Blatt Jr. Law Library will conclude when the library opens on Saturday, December 14th, at 7:00 a.m.  The library will close at 6:00 p.m. on the 14thRegular operating hours resume on Sunday, December 15th, and the library will again be open to alumni and the local bench and bar.   The library, along with the Charleston School of Law, will close for the December 2013 winter break at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20th.  It will re-open on Thursday, January 2nd, and resume regular operating hours at that time.    During the Spring 2014 semester, the library will once again open at noon rather than 10:00 a.m. on Sundays.

In order to perform maintenance, the library’s catalog, The Gavel, will be unavailable from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19th, through 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23rd.  We apologize for the inconvenience but the library’s electronic databases can still be accessed via the database portal here.

The Spring 2014 Booklist is now available and is posted on the Academic Affairs website here.

The electronic resource, Matthew, will no longer be available according to the site’s publisher.  Instead Matthew Bender titles can be found in either Lexis Advance (Browse Sources) or (Secondary Legal.)

Practical Law is coming to WestlawNext.  What is it?  Practical Law offers the legal practitioner “…Practice Notes, Standard Documents, Standard Clauses, and Checklists…” to assist with client services and research.
