LawGives.com

lawgives  Stanford Law School alumni, Tony Lai and Pieter Gunst, are launching a new platform, LawGives.com, to sell pre-packaged legal services to consumers.  LawGives.com will match attorneys with clients while enabling clients to shop for “packages of standard legal services.”  The lowest priced package is $799.00.  Presently the site is open only to attorneys, but it will become available to consumers on May 1st.  Attorneys will be charged a fee to participate and join the roster of attorneys while the service will be free to consumers.

The website describes the service as a simple three-step process:

1.  “Describe your issue.

2.  Lawyers respond directly.

3.  Choose the right lawyer for you.”

Lai, one of the co-creators, described the service as “…a platform that makes it easy for lawyers to do this in a smooth and simple way, and that gives consumers a more fluid way of engaging with lawyers.”  Check it out here.
