Managing Your Social Media

managingsocialmediaAre you tweeting, blogging, linking in, and facebooking?  Are you feeling overwhelmed?  You aren’t alone.  As we try to live and work, managing our social media accounts sometimes seems like a 24/7 task.

Ashley Ames Ahlbrand recently published an article in AALL Spectrum, Tweeted Out, that addresses this topic.   She recommends some social media management tools that help you manage your social media rather than letting it manage you.  The apps listed below let you schedule posts in advance, move around one website rather than multiple websites, and provide you with analytics to see what works and what doesn’t work.

Check out Hootsuite, TweetDeck, Buffer, Postling, and SocialOomph.  Check out the library’s resources on the topic via our catalog, The Gavel.  Do a title search for (social media) to obtain a list of resources available.
