Congratulations to the Class of 2014 & Library Information for Future Alumni

grad%20group In just a short while, you will be headed across the stage to receive your diploma and be officially awarded your law degree.  Congratulations!  A lot of your effort and energy was expended to accomplish this.  Many of you were assisted by support from family and significant others.  It is a time to celebrate and enjoy.

But on May 12th, the preparation for the July 2014 bar exam kicks into high gear.  Since you will officially be alumni then, what access will you have to the library and what resources will be available to you?

Your SONITROL card will continue to function for the Mary St. building until the end of July 2014, allowing you unlimited access to the library.

Your Equitrac print account will continue to be available until the end of July.

Study rooms will be available for check out.

Bar exam resources are also available.  Check out our Bar Exam LibGuide here.  We have multiple choice questions, audio recordings, flash cards, and South Carolina Advance Sheets.  Two iPads with BarMax multiple choice questions are also available in the Reference office.

Bar prep podcasts, created by Professor Brock Collins, are available and can be found here.

If you are taking the bar in another state and would like access to a particular academic law library there, please stop by my office.  I am happy to contact the librarian there and arrange.

Lastly as alumni, check our services and offerings to alumni and the local bar.  We have 3 Lexis patron access terminals available for an on campus use while alumni have off campus remote access to law journals available on HeinOnline.

Again, congratulations and good luck on the bar exam!
