The Charleston Law Review and the Richard W. Riley Institute of Government, Politics, and Public Leadership at Furman University will present the Seventh Annual Law & Society Series, Under Further Review: A Legal Look at the World of Sports, next Friday, January 30th, at the Charleston Music Hall. The program begins at 8:30 a.m.
Megha Parekh, Senior Vice President and General Counsel to the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, is the keynote speaker. Panelist speakers, Warren Zola, Angela Littlejohn, Timothy Liam Epstein, H. Hunter Batjer, David Geier, Daniel Wallach, Scott Andresen, and Robert Raiola, will discuss reform in college athletics and the NCAA, concussions, injuries, and medical and legal issues in sports, and lastly the league scandals along with disciplinary powers and due process.
