Hodges.  In a 5-4 opinion, with the majority opinion written by Justice Kennedy, the Court held that the Fourteenth Amendment requires a State to license a marriage between people of the same-sex and to recognize a same-sex marriage that lawfully  occurred out-of-state.  The 6th Circuit’s opinion, at 772 F.3d 388, was reversed.
