Congratulations to all!  Graduation was a milestone.  Now you are beginning to prepare for another milestone:  the bar exam.  There are resources available from the library to help you.

Your SONITROL card will remain active, providing you with access to the law library through the end of February 2016.  Equitrac printing will also be available, and you will have borrowing privileges for study rooms and bar preparation material.  To locate flashcards, audio recordings, subject specific outlines, and multiple choice questions, check out the library’s catalog or check out materials in call number location KF 303 to KF 388 in either the Stacks or the Bar Review special collection which is housed in the Reference Office in Room 121.  Two iPads, with BarMax loaded on them, can be checked out from the Reference office.

A Bar Prep Information page can be found hereOpinion summaries of decisions from the South Carolina Supreme Court and the South Carolina Court of Appeals are published weekly on the Barrister blog by alumnus, Erica McDaniel, who also works as the Evening Reference Librarian.  South Carolina Advance Sheets are available here while South Carolina Session Laws can be found here.  Classroom bar prep recordings are here.

MBE Subject matter outlines and MBE sample questions are also available.

A Bar Prep Program video, with presentations by Kelly Gibbs, BarBri representative, Dean Lisa Smith-Butler, and Professor Lavanya Sabin is here.

The library will close for the December holiday break at noon on Friday, December 18th.  It will re-open, resuming normal operating hours, on Monday, January 4th.

If you are not a December graduate but plan to take the February 2016 South Carolina bar and need the above access, please send an email to lsbutler@charlestonlaw.edu.

Again, congratulations to our December graduates, happy holidays and good luck on the February bar exam!
