Opinions from the South Carolina Supreme Court

On January 11, the SC Supreme Court published two opinions:

In the Matter of Frank Barnwell McMaster, the Court issued a definite suspension of thirty months retroactive to March 4, 2014, for respondent.

Harleysville Group Ins. v. Heritage Communities, Inc. is a direct appeal from the Special Referee’s findings in both matters as to scope of coverage under certain Commercial General Liability (CGL) policies. The Court affirmed the Special Referree’s findings regarding the CGL policies. The Court affirms in the Magnolia North matter and affirms as slightly modified in the Riverwalk matter.

On January 18, the Court published one opinion:

In Davis v. Leatherman, the Court issued a declaratory judgment regarding the effective date of certain amendments to the South Carolina Constitution.
