Charleston School of Law Students Participate in ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition and Advance to Finals in Chicago

The Charleston School of Law Trial Advocacy Board sent six members to this past weekend’s ABA National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition.  Two three person teams, composed of team members Kyle Smithwick, Nicole Soulsby, and Troy Williams and Alex Heaton, Tori Watson, and Andrew Smith, competed.  Both teams advanced to the regional final.

Alex Heaton, Tori Watson, and Andrew Smith won the region and advanced to the finals scheduled to be held in Chicago in April.  Tori Watson was the number one advocate for the region while Alex Heaton was the number two advocate for the region.  Professor Todd Bruno coached the teams.  Congratulations all!
