Bloomberg Law Challenges the Dynamic Duo

If you haven’t yet registered for your Bloomberg Law password, now is the time to do so. While student access to Westlaw and old Lexis will be curtailed over the summer, students continue to have unlimited access to Bloomberg, the newest big electronic legal research database. This unlimited access continues for six months after graduation. For more details, see Professor Melissa Strickland’s post for April 3

On the website, click on Register for a Law School Account. Ignore the box labeled Activation Code. When you fill in the Registration questionnaire, be sure to use your law school email address and choose your law school from the drop-down menu. That’s how Bloomberg verifies your registration.

Once you have received your log-in information via email, take a look around Bloomberg. When visited today, Bloomberg Law, in association with its sister Bloomberg publications, had created a “resource center” and was closely watching the Supreme Court arguments in Association for Molecular Pathology v. Myriad Genetics, Inc., the case that could decide whether human DNA can be patented. See the opinion below here.
